Professional Cannabis Security Specialist (PCSS) is the first in the series of courses. Designed as an “intermediate” level course, the prerequisites are possession of a valid BSIS Security Guard Registration (Guard Card), possession of a valid BSIS Exposed Weapons Permit, and a letter of recommendation from the guard’s employer. Possession of a valid CCW is preferred. Scheduled for 40 hours of instruction, the PCSS course will provide the participant with a solid base of knowledge of cannabis industry regulations, as well as pertinent firearms skills, field first aid, report writing, operational planning and logistics, and a culminating exercise.
